Job Summary
Lead tutoring sessions with pairs of students for 20 minutes daily, tracking progress and entering scores into data software. Conduct skill assessments, meet regularly with the on-site coach, and follow a schedule to ensure consistent support. Encourage student growth by celebrating their skills and confidence while sharing your experience with the community. You will commit to your own development through coaching and training. This role supports Reading Corps' mission to help over 400,000 students improve reading skills through proven activities.
Required Qualifications
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance
- Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
- Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Ability to succesfully complete a background check
