Job Summary
Lead tutoring sessions with pairs of students for 20-minute reading practice, returning them to the classroom between pairs until all students are served. Track student progress, conduct skill assessments, and enter scores into data software while meeting regularly with the school's onsite coach. Commit to your own growth through coaching and training, and share your experience with the community. You'll work full-time as an AmeriCorps member, receiving a bi-weekly stipend and education awards.
Required Qualifications
- Dependable and have a history of good attendance
- Able to follow instructions and make improvements based on feedback
- Proficient in basic computer skills (like email and navigating online)
- Fluent in English for speaking, reading, and writing
- 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
- A citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Able to successfully complete a background check
