Job Summary
Reading/Language Arts Teacher for grades 6-8 responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with district curriculum, differentiating instruction for diverse learners, assessing student progress, collaborating with special education staff to modify curricula, guiding student growth and development, managing classroom behavior, communicating with parents, and supporting extracurricular activities as assigned. Requires a Bachelor’s degree and valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or training for the subject/level; experience includes student teaching or approved internship. Knowledge of core subject area, curriculum, instructional strategies, assessment methods, IEP collaboration, and professional development participation. Office/ Classroom duties include creating a conducive learning environment, maintaining records, and adherence to district policies and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
