Job Summary
Develop and implement lesson plans and activities through distance, virtual, or face-to-face learning to fulfill district curriculum requirements. Conduct ongoing assessments of student achievement and learning styles to guide instructional strategies and modify curricula for special education students per IEP guidelines. Manage student behavior, supervise assigned teacher aides, and communicate daily with students, parents, and staff via digital platforms and scheduled conferences. Assume responsibility for extracurricular activities and maintain open lines of communication with the community while complying with state and district regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level assigned
- Knowledge of subjects assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Maintain emotional control under stress
- Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment
