Job Summary
Reading Interventionist for Middle School conducts comprehensive assessments to identify students' reading strengths and needs, develops and implements individualized intervention plans based on data, provides small group and one-on-one literacy instruction, collaborates with classroom teachers to integrate intervention strategies, monitors progress and adjusts instructional approaches, communicates with parents about progress and strategies to support reading development at home, participates in professional development to stay current with research-based reading interventions, and maintains accurate records of assessments and outcomes. The role emphasizes evidence-based instruction, data-driven decision making, collaboration with educators and families, and the use of literacy technology to support reading development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Reading, Literacy, Special Education, or a related field
- Valid teaching certification or licensure appropriate for middle school education in the United States
- Demonstrated knowledge of reading development, assessment tools, and intervention strategies
- Experience working with middle school students in an educational setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
