Job Summary
Assists teaching staff with the school's literacy program and helps classroom teachers in instructional efforts. Duties include coordinating instructional plans with teachers, preparing outlines and lesson aids, presenting material to students using various methods, administering and grading examinations, assisting students individually or in groups with reading, writing, and math concepts, and supporting classroom tasks such as attendance, materials, and audiovisual equipment. Requires strong communication skills, knowledge of classroom practices, and ability to work independently; involves supervising the classroom and performing related duties as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or the equivalent of two years of college or demonstrated, through the state paraprofessional assessment.
