Job Summary
Accurately read meters installed on customer premises, visually checking for and reporting service diversion and metering irregularities while delivering company notices. Safely drive and walk in all weather conditions over all terrain using an all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicle, eligible for mileage reimbursement. Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills and deal effectively with customers. Work overtime as needed. This role is with Potomac Edison, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp, located at the Mount Airy Service Center.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and an excellent driving record
- Ability to safely drive and walk in all types of weather over all types of terrain
- Must possess and use an all-wheel or four-wheel drive vehicle to read meters
- Ability to successfully deal with customers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Working overtime as needed
