Job Summary
Senior Lead Software Engineer (React UI) within the Equities Derivatives and Risk Technology team at JPMorgan Chase. Hands-on in building a trader-facing Risk Management UI using React and TypeScript, while mentoring and guiding team members in best development practices. Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions; write secure, high-quality production code; lead technical evaluations with external vendors and internal teams for integration; promote adoption of new technologies and communities of practice; leverage cloud, AI/ML, and mobile tech exposure to address complex challenges across multiple applications.
Required Qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering
- Advanced proficiency in React
- Experience with automation and CI/CD
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
- Expertise in agile practices including CI/CD, resiliency, and security
- Experience building complex web applications using React and TypeScript
- Familiarity with modern web build tools (webpack, Create React App, Vite)
- Proven ability to develop secure, high-quality production TypeScript code
- Experience writing and maintaining tests with Jest, Cypress, @testing-library/react
- Performance testing experience
- Solid understanding of web performance optimization and diagnostics
- Experience with Python 3 or higher
