Job Summary
UI Lead Software Engineer role leading a React + TypeScript UI team within JPMorgan Chase's Corporate Tech – Radar. Responsible for designing, developing, and delivering modern, responsive interfaces using React/TypeScript, architecting micro-frontend solutions, building a reusable component library, and collaborating with UX/UI designers and product owners. Includes rapid prototyping, code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring accessibility, performance, and maintainability. Partners with backend/DevOps for seamless deployment and stays current with emerging UI technologies and design systems.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years hands-on UI development experience
- 3+ years in a technical leadership or lead developer role
- Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3
- Proven experience architecting and implementing micro-frontend solutions
- Strong track record of building and maintaining reusable UI component libraries
- Experience with modern design systems (Material UI, Ant Design) and CSS frameworks
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, state management (Redux, Context API), and version control (Git)
- Experience with automated testing frameworks for UI (Jest, React Testing Library)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire junior developers
