Job Summary
Design and implement functional requirements for front-end features using React, integrating components into applications while managing testing and bug fixes. Collaborate with UX designers to translate design into code, prepare technical documentation, and suggest software enhancements. Maintain a habit of writing clean code and useful unit tests within an Agile workflow using continuous integration. This role requires a BS degree in Computer Science, 5+ years of software engineering experience, and expert knowledge of React Native and mobile development. Proficiency in JavaScript, TypeScript, and tools like Babel and Webpack is essential, along with a track record of delivering complex web apps on schedule. Candidates must be well-versed in DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
Required Qualifications
- BS Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering
- A focus on front end web app development with knowledge of design and UX principles
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
- Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principle
- Must have expert knowledge of React Native and Mobile development
- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc
- Experience with (and track record of) unit, system and end-to-end testing
- A habit of writing clean code and useful unit tests
- Enjoys a highly collaborative team environment, using Agile workflow with continuous integration
- Proven track record of delivering complex web apps on schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Highly desired, but optional
- Experience with Electron and/or Web Extension development
- API development
- Cloud web services, particularly AWS Serverless
- Well-versed in Typescript
- Working with payment processor APIs
