Job Summary
React Developer with 8+ years of frontend leadership and hands-on expertise in building scalable React-based SPAs and PWAs. Leads architecture, mentoring, and code reviews for frontend teams; strong focus on React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, Hooks, Context API, and performance optimization. Proficient with Redux/Zustand/Recoil, React Router, modern HTML5/CSS3, and CSS-in-JS. Experienced delivering secure, test-driven frontend solutions consuming REST/GraphQL APIs, using modern build tools and CI/CD pipelines. Familiar with cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP), containers (Docker/Kubernetes), accessibility (WCAG), and Agile/Scrum practices. Desirable exposure to Node.js backend, Big Data, AI tooling, and relevant cloud/PM certifications. Citi is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive experience in Frontend/Full-Stack Applications Development or Systems Analysis with a substantial focus on React.js and modern UI technologies
- Proven experience leading, architecting, and delivering complex frontend software development projects from concept to production
- Subject Matter Expert in React application development with deep knowledge of React.js, Hooks, Context API, and performance optimization
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript for scalable SPAs and PWAs
- Extensive experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Recoil) and routing (React Router)
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and preprocessors or CSS-in-JS solutions; accessibility (WCAG)
- Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL; frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, Rollup) and package managers (npm, Yarn)
- Experience with CI/CD systems (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) for automated frontend testing, building, and deployment
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Advanced debugging and performance optimization for client-side apps; automated testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright); emphasis on TDD
- Secure coding practices relevant to frontend development (XSS, CSRF)
- Solid Git experience and PR workflows
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative development environments
- Desirable: Node.js backend knowledge (Express.js, NestJS), Big Data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka), AI tools and Generative AI concepts
- Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Agile/PM certifications (PMP, CSM, CSPO)
- Understanding of financial services domain, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards
