Job Summary
Operate material handling equipment including stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks in high-rack, narrow-aisle warehouse environments for receiving, storing, staging, and loading finished products. Verify pallet condition, item details, lot numbers, and quantities during transfers; check trailer and material temperatures before loading or unloading. Scan and stack materials per procedures, tag pallets, and reconcile inventory while conducting cycle counts. Report damages, discrepancies, or documentation errors to the supervisor immediately. Follow all safety, GMP, and sanitation guidelines while working in temperatures ranging from -10°F to 100°F.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work in temperatures ranging from -10°F to 100°F
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (or whatever your company standard is)
- Willingness to work assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Basic computer skills (scanner systems, data entry)
- Must follow all safety, GMP, and sanitation guidelines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Steel-toe & anti-slip footwear required
Desired Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification or ability to be certified
- Previous experience working in freezer or cold-storage environments
- Experience with inventory systems / WMS
- Prior experience in food manufacturing or GMP-regulated environments
- Experience performing cycle counts and inventory reconciliation
- Ability to operate RF scanners / handheld devices
- Experience loading and unloading trailers
- Familiarity with FIFO inventory practices
