Job Summary
Operate PIT equipment to transport freight from the dock to storage or shipment, replenishing bulk and repack pick slots while maintaining inventory standards. Complete the daily PIT checklist, report equipment defects, and log individual productivity. Replenish modules with undamaged freight, remove empty pallets, and scan pallet license numbers to ensure correct slot placement. Report discrepancies regarding merchandise, slot overflow, or license issues, and alert management of damaged racks, pallets, or spills. Adhere to safety procedures, maintain an organized work area, and use required PPE. Full-time role in Windsor, Connecticut; one year forklift experience required.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year experience operating a forklift
- Able to perform essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Adequate fitness level to meet the demands of frequent lifting, walking, standing, moderate climbing, occasional sitting, stooping and kneeling
- Must be able to operate all types of PIT equipment
- Must be able to operate equipment that takes them to heights of up to 50 feet in the air
