Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) for the REACH Adult CTH Team at the Richmond Behavioral Health Authority. The role involves administering daily medications (intramuscular and oral), conducting medical and psychiatric assessments, transcribing doctor’s orders, drawing blood, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and participating in treatment team meetings and training. Responsibilities include coordinating nursing services, scheduling and monitoring lab tests and injections, conducting urine drug screens and TB testing, facilitating psycho-educational groups, and assisting clients with community resources. Work is performed under the supervision of the REACH Nurse Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in Virginia
- Ability to administer medications intramuscularly and orally
- Transcribe physician orders
- Perform medical and psychiatric assessments
- Document and maintain nursing records
- Coordinate with treatment team and case management
- Draw blood and perform basic lab-related tasks
- Attend staff meetings and trainings
- Provide psycho-educational groups as needed
- Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate EMS when warranted
