REACH Mobile Crisis Clinician l/ll (PRN)

Job Summary
Conduct emergency outreach and crisis responses in person and via telehealth to clients with serious mental illnesses and co-occurring disorders. Triage phone calls on the 24/7 Crisis Response Hotline and provide clinical case updates to the REACH Team. Perform comprehensive crisis assessments, develop response plans, and coordinate care with community providers and case managers. Maintain communication with community partners and participate in required clinical meetings. Requires on-call rotation covering days, nights, weekends, and holidays; valid driver's license in Virginia; LMHP or LMHP-E licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Mental Health Professionals or License Eligible Professionals
- master's degree with coursework in counseling, social work, psychology or related field
- moderate experience working with intellectual disabilities, developmental disabilities and mental health
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Must be LMHP / LMHP-E
- General knowledge of the principles and practices of providing care to the emotionally disturbed, socially dysfunctional, behaviorally disordered, mentally ill and/or substance abusive clients and their families
- general knowledge of community resources and human services network
- general knowledge of community-based behavioral health principles
- psychotherapeutic treatment techniques
- theories and techniques of counseling and crisis intervention
- thorough knowledge of intake techniques and procedures
- ability to evaluate and screen clients
- ability to prepare adequate records and to report findings and data effectively
- ability to solve problems within scope of responsibility
- ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, associates, service providers and the general public
- Clear and strong written and verbal communication skills
