Job Summary

Support Multi-Classroom Leaders and teachers with instructional and noninstructional duties, including small-group tutoring, supervising projects and digital learning, and managing student behavior during transitions and unstructured times. Complete administrative tasks such as taking attendance, entering grades, and preparing student activities under the guidance of the MCL team. Collaborate with teachers, tutors, and volunteers while participating in professional development, data meetings, and on-the-job training. Work as either a multi-team or single-team associate, pulling or pushing small groups into classrooms as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children
  • 2 or 4 year degree in any area
  • Completion of 96 Community College/University contact hours and an acceptable score on college placement test in reading, writing and math
  • Must be physically able to operate a variety of equipment including computers, typewriters, copiers, calculators, etc.
  • Must be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to lift, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body
  • Light Work usually requires walking or standing to a significant degree
  • Requires the ability to compare and/or judge the readily observable, functional, structural or composite characteristics (whether similar or divergent from obvious standards) of data, people or things
  • Requires the ability to speak and/or signal people to convey or exchange information
  • Includes receiving instructions, assignments or directions
  • Requires the ability to read a variety of correspondence, reports, forms, press releases, etc.
  • Requires the ability to prepare correspondence, reports, forms, etc., using prescribed REACH ASSOCIATE GCS 04/2018 3 formats and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style
  • Requires the ability to speak before groups of people with poise, voice control and confidence
  • Requires the ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Requires the ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic form

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
