Re-entry Service Navigator

Job Summary
Conduct pre-release planning, training, and advocacy for inmates at three federal prisons within the Goodwill Keystone Area territory. Secure and verify support system information, develop individualized pre-release plans, and implement barrier remediation for employment, housing, and transportation needs. Deliver job readiness and retention instruction in large, small, and one-on-one settings while acting as a job coach during the hiring process. Collaborate with Re-entry Education Manager and RRC staff to administer assessments, create service plans, and ensure participation in job clubs. Monitor post-release progress, complete data reporting, and maintain compliance with Bureau of Prisons and GKA safety protocols. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field, valid driver's license, and willingness to work flexible schedules including evenings and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Social Services, Criminal Justice or related field; or a combination of education and experience to enable the individual to meet the standards and expectations of the position
- Ability to administer assessments that will inform reentry planning
- Ability to be trained in mental health first aid, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care
- Ability to make public presentations
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evening hours and weekends
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; comfortable with public speaking
- Basic computer literacy including Microsoft and Google programs
- Ability to independently organize work to completion
- Must have a valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and satisfactorily complete a motor vehicle check on an annual basis
- Must be able to obtain acceptable results from required background checks, including Act 151 Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Pennsylvania Criminal History Check, Department of Human Services - FBI Fingerprints, and Bureau of Prison background investigation
- Willingness to work in various corrections facilities
