Job Summary
Re-Engagement Coach for PreK-5 district-wide to address student chronic absenteeism by improving attendance, behavior, and course performance. Responsibilities include managing a caseload of at least 30 chronically absent students, developing individualized Attendance Success Plans with families, conducting home visits as needed, mentoring students, building partnerships with community agencies, preparing attendance reports, and supporting PBIS implementation. Requires a Bachelor’s degree, bilingual ability in Spanish and/or Portuguese, strong data-analysis and collaboration skills, case-management experience, life-coach/social-work-like experience, multitasking, and willingness to travel with mileage reimbursement. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, or the equivalent
- Bilingual in Spanish and/or Portuguese
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Expertise in guiding the analysis of data and data-based inquiry to ensure identification of student risk factors and intervention needs
- Ability to collaborate and drive consensus on student needs and intervention plans across a diverse group of school-based personnel
- Expertise in case management and providing direct support services to students
- Experience with assisting individuals with goal setting, such as a Life Coach or Social worker
- Skilled multi-tasker and excellent time manager; ability to effectively achieve multiple goals and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of a holistic approach to student support including family and community engagement
- Access to a car and ability to travel as needed (non-commuting mileage reimbursement provided)
