Job Summary
Perform ultrasound and vascular exams of designated anatomy to physician specifications and established protocols. Assist in non-routine specialized exams, such as vascular studies and procedures utilizing advanced imaging equipment and techniques. Ensures quality control and quality improvement activities according to guidelines and federal and state regulations. Produces diagnostic images and processes and prepares images for interpretation by the radiologist. May participate in call rotations, as necessary. This per diem, variable evening shift role is onsite at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Dickson City.
Required Qualifications
- Specialized Diploma Graduate of approved CAHEA school of diagnostic medical sonography or certification program
- In good standing with the ARDMS
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Ability to assess performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action
- Must be able to deal effectively and ethically with medical and confidential information relating to patients, families, physicians, and nursing personnel
- Possess and utilize excellent customer service skills and strong written and verbal communications skills
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days
- RDMS - Reg Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
- ARDMS - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - State of Pennsylvania within 30 Days
- RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist
