Job Summary
Perform oral prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, scaling, root planing, sealants, fluoride treatments, oral cancer screenings, and x-rays. Educate patients on effective oral hygiene methods and communicate with the doctor regarding restorative or periodontal needs. Obtain and review dental history and care slips, ensuring updated health records for returning patients. Requires a valid state license and accredited dental hygiene degree; loupes are needed while iTero is optional. Schedule includes 2-3 days between Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, with hours ranging from 7-4 or 8-5. Compensation is based on approximately 40% commission on services.
Required Qualifications
- Degree or certificate in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program
- Valid state license
- Must be available for 2-3 days between Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Must work hours of 7-4 or 8-5
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
