Job Summary
Assist the head coach in supervising, coaching, and enforcing all rules, policies, and laws of the school, school board, and KHSAA. Plan athletic programs, conduct learning experiences with small groups of student athletes, and guide participants toward team spirit. Provide escort assistance and supervision during team travel, and recommend equipment, supplies, and uniforms for athlete welfare. Perform non-coaching duties assigned by the principal, athletic director, or head coach. Candidates must be at least 21 years old, hold a high school diploma or GED, and pass the ABLE test, criminal record check, and first aid/CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Fundamentals of various sports
- Health and safety regulations
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
- Assist coaches on one or more sports
- Understand and follow oral and written directions
- Read, interpret, apply and explain rules, regulations, policies and procedures
- Lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Any combination equivalent to: a high school diploma or G.E.D. Certificate or demonstrated progress toward obtaining a G.E.D. as required by Kentucky law
- Successful completion of ABLE test
- Criminal record check
- Current certification in first aid and CPR
