Job Summary
RCM analytics leadership and technical enablement for a healthcare revenue cycle. Define the analytics and reporting roadmap across denials, AR aging, authorizations, and net collection rate; guide dashboard-building and translate RCM data into actionable leadership insights. Lead RCM automation initiatives in HubSpot and adjacent platforms, design workflows to automate billing, coding, collections, and authorizations, and evaluate new tools. Serve as the technical liaison to RCM vendors, maintain data quality and governance across systems, and mentor the RCM Analyst while driving cross-functional collaboration with finance, analytics, and engineering. Leverage AI tools to accelerate analysis, drafting denial appeals, summarizing payor policies, and prototyping automations within HIPAA-compliant guardrails.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years in healthcare analytics, healthcare technology, RCM analytics, or a similar technical role
- Technical fluency in EMRs (e.g., athenahealth, Epic, eClinicalWorks, NextGen) and how clinical/billing data originates within them
- SQL and a working knowledge of Python for reasoning about large, complex datasets
- Google BigQuery (or a comparable cloud data warehouse)
- Tableau (or similar BI tools)
- HubSpot or similar automation platforms for workflow-based solutions
- Healthcare experience in revenue cycle or healthcare analytics
- Deep understanding of revenue cycle processes: billing, coding, collections, authorizations, denial management
- Solutions mindset to identify best technical approach and delivery
- Experience managing or acting as the technical liaison to third-party vendors (insurance verification, credentialing, collections, payor contracting)
- Experience integrating and troubleshooting data flow between EMRs, billing systems, vendors, and data warehouses
- Experience with ETL processes in relation to healthcare and financial data
- Working understanding of data governance, naming conventions, and field mapping across platforms
- Able to direct QA, debug, and validate discrepancies between source-of-truth platforms
- Strong project management and communication skills
- Organized, curious, and detail-oriented
- Familiarity with AI tools for accelerating analysis, automation, and documentation in compliant workflows
- Experience mentoring or leading other analysts a plus
- Bonus: HIPAA-compliance navigation and data privacy
