Job Summary
RCM Specialist I at JAG Physical Therapy focusing on claims processing, accounts receivable, denial management, and revenue cycle improvements within a multi-facility outpatient orthopedic physical therapy organization. Responsibilities include clean claim billing, claim adjudication, denial management, payment posting, underpayments, patient liability, and other revenue cycle processes; identify trends and root causes related to RCM, educate patients and staff on best practices, and document workflows. Requires experience with EMRs/medical billing software, knowledge of payer billing requirements, problem-solving and strong communication and customer-service skills; work in a healthcare setting with a client-focused, collaborative team.
Required Qualifications
- High School or GED
- 2 to 3 years related work experience with Physical Therapy experience preferred
- Experience in EMRs and other medical billing software
- Knowledge of billing requirements and regulations of major payers
- Problem solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent Customer service
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
