RCM AR Specialist

Responsible for the overall recovery and management of accounts receivable for RCMS clients, including detailed research and follow-up on medical insurance claims and preparation of appeals and responses to interact with insurance carriers to resolve claims. Drives the AR process to achieve KPI results, monitors aging and denials, and ensures secondary claims are processed and paid. Supports RCMS Operations and Client Services by handling client calls, patient and carrier inquiries, and timely responses; may provide after-hours/on-call support during peak periods. Works with various billing systems (NextGen, Pro, Allscripts, Epic) and uses tools like SharePoint; requires knowledge of CPT, ICD10 and modifiers and familiarity with payer types (HMO, IPAs, Medicare, Commercial Payers).
