Job Summary
Conduct field inspections in agricultural areas by reading maps, analyzing aerial photos, and measuring fields and storage bins to assess crop damage. Discuss findings with farmers regarding complex, non-routine claims and convey regulatory interpretations to claimants and agents. Perform fact-finding on crop loss, record data, and transmit information to determine indemnities while completing claim reviews and audits. Maintain legal compliance through knowledge of regulatory policies and contribute to team projects as needed. This role requires 50% travel to service Kittson, Marshall, Pennington, and Roseau counties within Minnesota.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area
- Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP)
- Reliable personal transportation
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles
- Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions
- Must be able to live within and service Kittson, Marshall, Pennington, Roseau counties in Minnesota
- Must be available for 50% travel to cover the territory
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week
