Job Summary
Conduct field inspections in agricultural territories, reading maps and aerial photos to measure fields and storage bins while discussing crop loss findings with farmers. Perform fact-finding regarding damage, record information, and transmit loss data to determine indemnities, conveying complex regulations to claimants and agents. Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned. Ensure legal compliance by maintaining knowledge of regulatory policies and procedures. This role requires approximately 50% travel to cover Kittson, Marshall, Pennington, and Roseau counties, with a 40-hour workweek.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area
- Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP)
- Reliable personal transportation
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles
- Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions
- Must be able to live within and service Kittson, Marshall, Pennington, Roseau counties in Minnesota
- Must be available for approximately 50% travel
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week
