Job Summary
Conduct field inspections in Minnesota agricultural counties, reading maps and aerial photos to measure fields and storage bins. Discuss complex, non-routine, and controversial crop loss claims with farmers while conveying regulations and interpretations. Perform fact-finding on crop damage, record information, and transmit loss details to determine indemnities. Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned, ensuring legal compliance with regulatory policies. This role requires approximately 50% travel and living within Kittson, Marshall, Pennington, or Roseau counties. Candidates must possess valid driver's licenses and meet physical requirements including walking up to three miles and climbing bins up to 25 feet. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area
- Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP)
- Reliable personal transportation
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles
- Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions
- Must be able to live within and service Kittson, Marshall, Pennington, Roseau counties in Minnesota
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week
- Must be able to travel approximately 50% to cover the territory
