Job Summary
Conduct field inspections in agricultural areas, reading maps and aerial photos to measure fields and storage bins. Discuss complex, non-routine claims with farmers, conveying regulations and interpretations regarding crop damage. Perform fact-finding to determine potential indemnities, complete claim reviews and audits, and ensure legal compliance with company policies. Travel approximately 50% of the time to cover Kittson, Marshall, Pennington, and Roseau counties, requiring a valid driver's license and ability to walk up to three miles in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area
- Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP)
- Reliable personal transportation
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles
- Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions
- Must be able to live within and service Kittson, Marshall, Pennington, Roseau counties in Minnesota
- Must be available for 50% travel to cover the territory
- Must be able to work 40 hours per week
