Job Summary
RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to work from a home-based Minnesota office with ~50% travel within a 100-mile area. Responsibilities include field inspections, reading maps and aerial photos, measuring fields and storage bins, and discussing crop loss findings with farmers on complex non-routine claims. Must convey complex regulations to claimants and stakeholders, perform fact finding, transmit loss information to determine potential indemnities, gather relevant facts, complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters, maintain regulatory compliance, and contribute to team projects. Requires High School Diploma or Equivalent, 6+ months agricultural experience, CAPP certification within 180 days, valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation. Physical requirements include working outdoors and handling lifting tasks as specified.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 6 months of experience in the agricultural area
- Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP) must be obtained within 180 days of hire date
- Valid Driver’s License
- Reliable personal transportation
- Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Experience as a Crop Claims Field Adjuster (preferred)
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
