Job Summary
Conduct field inspections for complex, non-routine crop claims by reading maps, analyzing aerial photos, measuring fields and storage bins, and discussing loss findings with farmers. Perform fact-finding on crop damage, record data, and transmit information to determine indemnities while conveying complex regulations to claimants and agents. Complete claim reviews and audits on lower-level adjusters as assigned, ensuring legal compliance through adherence to regulatory policies and company procedures. Travel approximately 50% of the time within a 50-mile radius of specified Iowa counties to service the agricultural community.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 6 or more months of experience in the agricultural area
- Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program Certification (CAPP)
- Reliable personal transportation
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles
- Ability to climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet
- Ability to lift 25 lbs. to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions
- Ability to live and service within a 50-mile radius of the specified counties in Iowa
- Ability to work 40 hours per week
- Approximately 50% of travel to cover the territory
