Job Summary
Develop changes to and maintain inside and outside plant communications cabling infrastructure design drawings in Visio, Bluebeam, or AutoCAD. Write product specifications for cable infrastructure, develop cabling and patching details for circuit interconnections, and create bills of material for communications cabling systems. Design fiber interconnections between external sites and internal transport equipment, while developing test and migration approaches for new cabling systems. Participate in peer reviews and customer meetings to develop and present technical design materials. Requires current RCDD accreditation with BICSI, 10 years of experience in communications cabling design, and US citizenship for a DOE security background check. Salary range $116,350 to $210,325.
Required Qualifications
- Current RCDD accreditation with BICSI
- Minimum of 10 years experience as an RCDD developing communications cabling design for building and campuses
- US citizenship
- Ability to pass a DOE security background check
