Job Summary
Provide personal care, therapeutic programming, safety, and emotional support to residents while promoting their dignity and independence. Assist with medications, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, and mobility as outlined in approved service plans. Monitor resident health status, document all services and incidents in the computer tracking system, and promptly report changes to the nurse. Engage residents in meaningful interactions, facilitate group and individual programming, and escort residents to meals. Answer emergency calls and maintain unit cleanliness. Complete required orientation, in-service training, and specialized education programs.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to use computer for documenting services provided
- Fluent in the ability to communicate in the English language, both oral and written
- Completed the course for certified nursing assistant or have equivalent training or experience as required by State Regulation
- CPR and First Aide training as mandated by the State employed
- Current license/certification as required by State Regulation
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience providing direct care or the equivalent in training
- Experience in caring for seniors with Alzheimer's disease or other forms of Dementia
