Job Summary
Implement treatment plan goals and interventions while building therapeutic relationships with individuals with developmental behavior challenges. Collaborate with families and clinical staff to educate parents on reinforcement strategies and ensure proper implementation of program updates. Prompt safe replacement behaviors, fade prompts to encourage independent responding, and increase appropriate behaviors by providing reinforcers. Collect behavioral data, complete clinical documentation, and review participant progress using behavior analytic methods to identify solutions and make recommendations. Schedule leisure activities for engagement and attend clinical meetings as assigned. Maintain compliance with company policies and external regulatory guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- RBT Credential or desire to work toward obtaining the RBT Credential with guidance provided, and the ability to complete that training and board exam within 30 days from hiring date
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Current driver's license in good standing, car registration, and auto insurance if providing transportation for individual receiving services
- Professional, with the ability to maintain composure and exercise sound judgment and discretion
- Exceptional communication skills with an ability to establish trust and rapport quickly
- A good listener with an ability to empathize while still providing guidance
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of completed college coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development, or related field
- Two years of experience working with individuals with Traumatic Brain Injury or other individuals with developmental behavior challenges who engage in severe problem behaviors
