Raw Materials Handler- Warehouse Worker

Job Summary

Perform cycle counts, shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory daily departmental activities. Load and unload trucks using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck per safety regulations. Unpack crates, verify item accuracy and damage, and document findings. Process system transactions for shipping, receiving, and bin transfers. Drive delivery trucks to customer sites to collect paperwork and make specified deliveries. Assist production operations by moving materials to the shop timely. Maintain shipping and receiving files and process customer returns per QAP/SP. Monitor and revise weekly I50 reports. Execute Lean and 6S functions in your area daily. Investigate root causes of errors and implement corrective actions.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency
  • One to three years related experience and/or training
  • Current Valid Driver's License with no major traffic violations within the previous three years
  • Ability to be issued security clearance for any/all customer delivery sites (includes GAC access badge for on-site delivery)
  • Ability to operate fork trucks, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when working on the manufacturing floor including, but not limited to, eye, ear, and foot protection
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 10-50 pounds
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to communicate and interact with all employees, customers, vendors and others in a courteous, professional manner
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities with frequent period of high stress
  • Must be able to complete all job duties and interact with all employees, customers, vendors, and others in a manner consistent with Company values and principles
  • Ability to read and interpret basic work order instructions and other drawings to accurately produce and assemble kits
  • Ability to effectively perform cycle counts, various production, material handling, tasks requiring physical strength and dexterity
  • Must be able to use Outlook
  • Ability to be trained in and acquire Sonaca North America Forklift License

Desired Qualifications

  • High school diploma or high school equivalency preferred
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Database software
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Internet software
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Spreadsheet software
  • AS400 a plus
  • Excellent Background
