Job Summary
Conduct precise pumping of poly resins from railcars to silos while maintaining accurate inventory levels and updating railcar maps daily. Operate RF guns, PIT vehicles, and cranes to distribute materials, perform daily equipment inspections, and troubleshoot minor pump issues. Assist planning and purchasing departments with raw material requests, ensure product quality, and maintain strict safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures. Complete initial night-shift training before transitioning to day-shift duties. Walk and stand 100% of the time in a noisy, outdoor manufacturing environment requiring full PPE.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma, GED or ability to pass a basic skills test
- Knowledge of product codes
- Strong mathematical skills
- Ability to operate a forklift
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment
- Ability to operate computer equipment
- Able to perform assigned duties without direct supervision
- Walk/stand 100% of time during a 12-hour shift
- Occasional stooping, bending, kneeling and squatting throughout shift
- Occasional climbing and reaching overhead during shift
- Frequent pushing and pulling with arms and legs throughout shift, including materials requiring up to 75lbs of force to maneuver
- Frequent lifting or carrying up to 50lbs
- Constant use of hands and occasional use of foot control
- Constant light and firm grasping with hands throughout shift
- Operation of cranes, hoists, hand trucks and roll manipulators throughout shift
- Daily sweeping and organizing floor and work area
- Occasional climbing of steps
- Balance required for some tasks
- Ability to work in harsh environments including rain, snow, wind and inclement weather
- Training for this position will take place on night shift (7pm-7am) for a time and then go dayshift once the training is complete
- This is a day-shift position; however, initial training for the pumper role will require the selected individual to work the night shift to receive specialized instruction from a designated mentor
- Training will take place until completion of required skills and proficiency
- Once training is finished, the individual will transition to their assigned day-shift position in the pumper role
- Noisy environment requiring hearing protection
- manufacturing environment requiring safety shoes and safety glasses
- Other PPE required based upon specific tasks
- Observes all safety rules and uses the proper safety equipment at all times
- Outdoor work environment in various weather conditions as required
- Shift differential of $2.00/hour for hours worked between 7:00pm - 7:00am
