Job Summary
Conduct financial analysis, research market trends, and monitor issuer credit quality to support ratings, research, and stakeholder engagement. Prepare rating committee materials, draft market-facing communications, and build relationships with issuers and investors. Assist in portfolio reviews, credit projects, and proprietary modeling while ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and Moody's methodologies. Manage workflow effectively and provide guidance to support teams. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Actuary with 1-2 years of financial analysis experience; Python, SQL, and AI knowledge are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Actuary or a business-related discipline
- Background in accounting with primary focus in financial analysis
- Knowledge in Financial Statements
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Solid verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and prioritize tasks accordingly
- High attention to detail
- Experience working collaboratively on teams through coursework, extracurricular activities, jobs and internships, particularly where leadership or coaching skills were demonstrated
Desired Qualifications
- CFA (or equivalent)
- relevant work experience 1-2 years
- Experience in coding languages (Python, SQL, etc.)
- Basic understanding of artificial intelligence concepts
- curiosity and enthusiasm for learning how AI tools can be used to improve processes and drive efficiency
- Interest in exploring AI systems and a willingness to develop awareness of responsible AI practices, including risk management and ethical use
