Job Summary
Lead credit analysis for local government issuers (cities, counties, school districts, special districts) and prepare committee-ready rating recommendations. Conduct in-depth research and financial statement analysis to support rating conclusions, participate in rating committee discussions, and publish timely credit reports. Engage with issuers, meet with stakeholders, and contribute to research pieces. Bring strong analytical/problem-solving skills, proficiency with internal models and data analytics, and the ability to collaborate across multicultural teams and with senior staff. This role offers hands-on technical growth, visibility in local government finance, and opportunities for career advancement; requires in-office presence at least 2 days per week and a US-based right to work.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- 2+ years of Public Finance experience (Local Government sector preferred)
- Strong credit analysis and financial statement analysis capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to synthesize complex information for diverse audiences
- Willingness to work from office at least 2 days per week
- US right to work (indefinite) or equivalent
