Job Summary
Rare Disease Specialist responsible for representing TerSera products in hospital accounts and targeted clinics, delivering clinical information to healthcare professionals (physicians, nurses, PA, NP) and gaining interest. Develops and executes a territory plan to achieve and exceed sales goals, navigates multi-stakeholder clinical customers, and secures formulary access while operating within commercial policies. Maintains product and disease-area knowledge, communicates territory activity to management, adheres to compliance policies (PhRMA code) and internal controls, completes required training, and collaborates with local and regional teams. Requires travel up to 60% and residence within commuting distance to a commercial airport. Educational requirement includes a BS/BA (MBA preferred); 5-10 years of sales/account management experience in related field; experience with institutions and payer/formulary processes; ability to work in a matrixed environment.
Required Qualifications
- BS/BA required
- 5-10 years Sales / Account management experience within the related field
- Experience working with institutions and integrated delivery networks
- Understanding of payer and formulary processes
- Ability to travel up to 60% of work time
- Valid driver's license in one of the fifty states, with no motor vehicle violations
- Strong verbal, interpersonal and listening skills
- Team-oriented and cross-functional collaboration experience
- Knowledge of reimbursement issues and market access policies
