Job Summary
Rare Disease Business Manager in Takeda’s West region within the Gastroenterology Rare Disease Sales Team. Drive product demand in targeted physician offices and clinics, communicating disease, product, and formulary information truthfully and in compliance with policies. Employ a consultative selling approach to meet monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales/patient objectives, manage territory resources and speaker programs, and analyze local/regional trends to develop long- and short-term business plans. Collaborate across Patient Services, Specialty Infusion Pharmacies, and Managed Markets; document account activity in CRM; build productive internal partnerships to align with territory plans; and engage HCPs and staff to identify needs and potential product solutions for Short Bowel and Ulcerative Colitis patients. The role requires ability to discuss therapeutic strategies, present information effectively, and navigate a matrix environment while remaining compliant with Takeda policies. Training is required and may include product examinations; travel as needed; and a base salary range provided for the US location (CA - Virtual).
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS)
- 3+ years of successful selling experience in pharmaceutical, biotech or medical device and/or relevant clinical or industry experience; OR 2+ years of successful selling experience at Takeda
- 5 years’ experience preferred
- Ability to discuss therapeutic strategies to inform and influence decision makers
- Ability to develop and apply clinical and business expertise, and effective selling skills
- Strong verbal, influencing, presentation and written communication skills
- Reside within or close proximity to assigned geography
- Ability to adapt to changing business needs and commitment to learning
- License: Valid Driver’s License (as travel required)
