Job Summary
Lead patient access and reimbursement strategy for consented patients across the treatment journey, conducting needs assessments to resolve coverage, affordability, and logistical barriers. Act as the primary point of contact for enrollment through therapy initiation, coordinating care continuity with healthcare providers and sites of care. Serve as a field-based expert on prior authorization, step edits, and payer policy, providing guidance and facilitating communication between HCP offices, payers, and patient support programs. Develop account-level access strategies to optimize workflows and reduce delays in therapy initiation while delivering compliant education on coverage pathways and financial assistance. Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Patient Solutions teams to execute aligned, patient-centric approaches to access. Operate a company car with approximately 30% travel time including overnight trips, requiring residence within 25 miles of the Central California territory.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of pharmaceutical (or related) experience in customer-facing roles/functions
- 9 with Masters, BSN or Rph
- 1+ years in Access and Reimbursement support role
- Minimum 3–5 years of Specialty Pharma experience
- Reimbursement and Access experience is a must
- Valid US driver's license
- driving record in compliance with company standards
- No DUI/DWI or other impaired driving citation within the past 7 years
- Must live within the geography, or within 25 miles or closer to territory boundaries
- Candidates must be authorized to be employed in the U.S. by any employer
- U.S. work visa sponsorship (such as TN, O-1, H-1B, etc.) is not available for this role now or in the future
- This position requires permanent work authorization in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- experience in the Cardiology sector is preferred
- Strong understanding of Reimbursement, Government Payment Systems, Provider/Carrier Networks, Co-Pay Assistance Programs, and knowledge of the Specialty policy dynamics that exist in the Rare Disease Community
- Experience demonstrating exceptional communication and presentation skills
