Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist focused on rapid-response care providing respiratory treatments, oxygen services, diagnostic testing, and ventilation support for in-patients and out-patients spanning neonatal to geriatric populations. Performs arterial blood gas analysis, ABG documentation, and EKGs; assists with airway management and delivers therapies as ordered by physicians under established policies. Requires Associate's Degree, state license, CRT credential, BLS, ACLS within 90 days, and NRP for NICU work; proficient with Windows and data-entry, strong communication and analytical skills, and participation in staff meetings. Remains compliant with evolving standards and supports patient education and interdepartmental collaboration.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- Current License as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of practice
- Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification (only for trained therapists working in the NICU)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire
