Job Summary
Coordinate Rapid Response Unit operations on 2nd and 3rd shifts in a clinical laboratory, including staffing, scheduling, QA/QC, and reporting; establish priorities to optimize patient outcomes; perform automated and manual assays, correlate results, and communicate STAT/critical/abnormals per procedures; develop and maintain cooperative relationships with physicians and care departments; participate in proficiency testing and maintain competency; ensure confidentiality and adherence to policies; requires Bachelor’s in Medical Technology or related field and MT/MLT (ASCP) certification with 3–5 years of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology; or closely related field
- Certified as an MT or MLT (ASCP) or equivalent
- 3 to 5 years of previous and progressively more responsible work-related experience plus 3 to 6 months of on-the-job training and orientation
