Job Summary
Define housing stability goals and develop individualized plans for veteran families referred by HUD VASH programs. Process paperwork to enroll participants in SSVF services, Temporary Financial Assistance, and community resources like SNAP and legal aid. Act as a liaison between S:US and local VA teams to coordinate referrals for housing placement, appointments, and specialized programming. Screen applicants, document engagements, and track program milestones including re-certifications and retention data. Assist with administrative functions such as data entry, lease filing, and utility setup while maintaining confidentiality. Work five days a week across NYC and Long Island, with occasional evening events, reporting directly to program management.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years of human services experience
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in an office setting
- Ability to work at sites across NYC
- Five days a week availability

- Basic computer skills (e.g. MS Office suite and Windows)
- Self-motivated and resourceful
- Strong verbal communication skills
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Ability to work both as a team player and independently
