Job Summary
Rapid Intervention/Response Nurse providing urgent nursing care across departments (ED, inpatient units, interventional labs) with rapid intervention duties such as Code Blue/NIHSS coordination, medication administration, and care planning. Must perform the nursing process, supervise team members, and ensure safe, evidence-based practice. Role requires IL RN licensure, 3+ years of acute critical care, telemetry proficiency, and BLS/ACLS certification. Night shift, part-time schedule (two 12-hour shifts weekly, with every 3rd weekend and rotating holidays) based in Geneva, IL within the Northwestern Medicine system. Prefer BSN for hires after 2011; background checks as part of employment; hospital-based patient care and coordination across multiple service lines.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois
- Three or more years of acute critical care experience
- Telemetry skills
- CPR – Basic Life Support via the American Heart Association
- CPR – Advanced Cardiac Life Support
