Job Summary
Provide operational support to combat aircrew flying and training in 4th and 5th generation fighter aircraft in the European theater of operations. Contribute at Subject Matter Expert level to enhance and advance combat training during local training missions and deployments. Coordinate with USAFE aircrews and Air Combat Training Pod technical engineers to ensure mission data is compatible with mission requirements. Facilitate combat training by providing real-time kill removal to increase realism of air-to-air sorties and train aircrews to perform as RTOs and scribes on ICADS systems and sub-systems. Interface with Government representatives for site-specific support; manage Exercise and Mission Planning documents (AOD, ATO, SPINS); develop learning objectives (DLOs) and nominate mission sets; coordinate threat RTOs based on tactical plans; perform RTO duties for air-to-air and surface-to-air scenarios; create live/constructive scenarios and monitor progression; provide debrief information; update RTO materials; coordinate with off-site units; travel for regional exercises; assist with daily, weekly, monthly scheduling; follow supervisor instructions. Competencies include knowledge of AFI 11-202V3, AFI 11-214, AFI 11-2MDS, AFMAN 13-212, and proficiency in technical aircraft terminology; able to prepare and present written and oral reports; apply English communication skills; willingness to apply for employment as described.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree highly desired
- Five (5) years of verifiable leadership experience
- Rated mission expertise as Aircraft Commander or Weapons System Officer in fighter aircraft or have relevant Air Battle Manager/Weapons Director expertise (F-15/F-16/F-18 highly desired)
- Must meet the eligibility for a Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance IAW DCID 1/14
- Must be capable of working full-time 40 hours per week
- US Citizen
- Ability to speak, read, and write English
- Must possess valid driver’s license
- Must be willing to travel in support of ACTS contract obligations
