Job Summary
Range Systems Supervisor – Communications & Timing at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Leads and directs personnel operating and maintaining Cape Canaveral communications systems, schedules staff, mentors employees, and ensures maintenance per IODMP. Oversees mission equipment setup, monitors system performance per SOI and MCC reporting, resolves anomalies during launch operations, and drives continuous improvement across range systems. Requires a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), 5+ years of experience in communications systems, DoD Top Secret clearance eligibility, and 8140 certification or ability to obtain within six months. Onsite role with limited telecommuting; travel may be required; ability to obtain security clearance and U.S. citizenship are prerequisites. Strong leadership, organizational, and collaboration skills essential; experience with Eastern Range operations and project integration preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, a Technical Discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of experience with communications systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
- 8140 certification or ability to obtain within six months of start date
- Onsite work requirement with limited telecommuting
- Experience working in or with a collective bargaining environment (preferred)
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with ability to manage 10-30 personnel
- Proven project integration and cross-range experience (preferred)
- Ability to travel locally or outside the continental U.S.
