Job Summary
Develop full-vehicle range simulation models with modular structures, aligning architecture with evolving system specifications. Run WLTP, EPA, CLTC, and custom driving cycles for range prediction while benchmarking competitor vehicles to calibrate model fidelity. Conduct scenario-based analyses, correlate model output with test data, and support alignment with VTS/SSTS targets and validation planning. Deliver updated sub-system blocks, program-specific range prediction reports, sensitivity studies, and usage guidelines. Requires a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering with 5+ years in EV energy modeling and proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and AVL CRUISE.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering
- 5+ years in EV energy modeling or range forecasting
- Proficiency with modeling tools (MATLAB/Simulink, AVL CRUISE, etc.)
- Knowledge of regulatory test cycles and thermal/load influences on range
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
