Job Summary

Lead and supervise ramp agents responsible for loading and unloading cargo onto and from aircraft. Provide guidance on proper weight distribution and secure stowage while overseeing marshaling and guidance of aircraft using hand signals and visual aids. Manage efficient handling of equipment during onload and offload processes, including aircraft tugs, pushback tractors, and towing vehicles. Coordinate essential services such as refueling, lavatory servicing, and water replenishment to ensure aircraft are prepared for flight. Enforce adherence to all safety regulations, promptly report hazards, and maintain effective communication with ground crew and flight crews. Monitor ramp cleanliness, ensure compliance with airport policies, and provide training on proper handling procedures and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift heavy objects, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Good hand-eye coordination and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow established procedures and protocols
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate effectively with other ground personnel and flight crews
  • Flexibility to work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and adverse weather situations
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as airport operations are 24/7
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug and alcohol testing
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must meet physical lifting requirements of 50 lbs
