Job Summary
Ramp Service Agent (part-time) at American Airlines. Responsibilities include moving baggage and cargo to/from aircraft, operating belt loaders, servicing aircraft at gates with ground power and air conditioning, towing/pushing back aircraft, servicing lavatories and water ports, preparing beverage and luggage carts, and working outdoors in varied weather. Requires high school diploma or GED, 18+, valid driver’s license, ability to obtain necessary airport/US security badges, and successful completion of pre-employment drug screen and background checks; duties include overtime and weekend/holiday shifts. Starting pay is $20.80 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or international equivalent
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Applicable valid driver’s license as required by local authorities
- Ability to obtain airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
- Completion of a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check and/or fingerprinting to satisfy company and security requirements
- Must have the ability to pass the US Postal Service background check
- Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges, if applicable
- Must have knowledge of and ability to use basic computer skills
