Job Summary
Ramp Safety Clerk responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and retraining, maintaining driver files, processing Port Authority/Customs identifications, ensuring state inspections, registrations and Insurance IDs for trucks are current, enforcing A-1 Inspection procedures, supporting the Ramp Safety Supervisor, and performing additional clerical duties as needed. Requires high attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced ramp environment while supporting safety compliance.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to obtain Airport SIDA badge and CBP Customs Seal within 30 days of hire
- 3-5 years of safety experience preferred
- AOA ramp experience may be substituted year-for-year for Safety experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- Ability to work with minimum supervision
- Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups
- Open availability, nights and weekends as operations require
